Suriya's "Vishwanath And Sons," directed by Venky Atluri, had a strong opening weekend, crossing Rs 100 crore worldwide within just two days—making it his fastest film ever to hit this milestone, beating "Karuppu's" three-day record. Per Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 20.55 crore net in India on Day 3, down 7.6% from Saturday's Rs 22.25 crore, across 4,876 shows. With Day 1 at Rs 15.35 crore, the three-day India net total reached Rs 58.15 crore (gross: Rs 67.22 crore), plus Rs 43 crore overseas, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 110.22 crore. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 9.50 crore, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana Rs 9.50 crore, Karnataka Rs 2.90 crore, and Kerala Rs 1.50 crore. The Telugu version outperformed Tamil in occupancy (72.86% vs 57.58% on Sunday). Production banner Sithara Entertainments celebrated the milestone as "BlockbusterVAS." This marks Suriya's second consecutive Rs 100 crore grosser of 2026, after "Karuppu" (directed by RJ Balaji) crossed Rs 300 crore worldwide earlier this year.
